Opher is a C-Level executive coach, systems thinker, former jazz musician, and education innovator – with hundreds of methodologies to his name. Early in his career, Opher was a trainee of thought leaders Michael Hewitt-Gleeson and Jay Abraham.
He trained in Systems Dynamics at MIT and in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) with Richard Bandler. Over the past 30 years, he has coached thousands on their way to realizing their potential both personally and professionally. Opher’s groundbreaking work in developing thinking algorithms that help youth and adults alike to elevate their thinking and performance led to him receiving the Tribeca Disruptive Innovator Award in 2018.
For over 14 years, I have been mentoring people to grow personally and professionally. I am a certified coach, professionally trained facilitator, and former Fortune 500 human capital management consultant. With employment spanning multinational businesses such as Accenture, STS Capital Partners, and the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, I have had the opportunity of working with some of the world’s finest and brightest individuals.
My passion for learning and development inspires my coaching, and I provide a number of tools, models, and frameworks to help clients manage their work/life balance. Among them are the Coaches Training Institute’s (CTI) Certified Coach designation, the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) PCC designation, Psychometrics Canada’s MBTI Accreditation, The Academies’ Certified Career Management Coach (CCMC), and, most recently, MindValley’s 10x Certified Health Coach. I graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A. in Linguistics and English.
I worked for life science startups for nearly two decades in marketing communications and business development. My broad range of expertise spans a variety of fields, including systems biology, bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry, process development, and environmental testing.
I held the position of vice president of marketing and managed the expansion of my business from a small team of 30 employees and two locations to a team of more than 450 scattered across 15 offices. Additionally, I worked at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business for 15 years at the Career Management Center (CMC). I provided leadership and students with facts and advice about the job market. The websites for recruiters and students were both written by myself. I obtained a biology bachelor’s degree from Stanford and an MBA from Northwestern, where I was recognized as an Austin Scholar.
I managed a regional area at Putnam Investments when I first started working in the financial services industry in sales and marketing. After completing my MBA at Cornell Business School, I worked for 10 years on the global investment team. I rose to become the Putnam Global Resources fund’s lead portfolio manager. In 2012, I became the Chief Investment Officer of the International and Global Small-cap portfolios.
I have a BA from Denison University and an MBA from Cornell University’s The Johnson School of Business. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. In 2019, I joined Corbin Advisors as Senior Vice President and Head of Corbin’s Client Advisory and Consulting business. I left Corbin in 2021 to start a family office that handles financial portfolios for close family members. In 2022, I became an adjunct instructor at Cornell Business School and an executive coach at impro.AI.
My 28-year career has been marked by a laser-like focus on customer service, both theoretically and in actual practice. I played a crucial role in setting up field service for Cisco Systems’ internet products throughout Europe, North America, and Latin America where I was in charge of vendor management and client satisfaction during Cisco Systems’ humble beginnings.
I worked in a multitude of different roles including Customer Service Manager, Chief of Staff, Business Architect, and Contracts Project Manager. As Customer Success Manager at NCR, I managed all aspects of the relationships with two major customers. I firmly believe in lifelong learning starting with earning my bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Business and my subsequent MBA from Santa Clara University. I have multiple certifications in project management, enterprise network architecture, and networking, and most recently achieved the coveted CompTIA A+ certification.
I have three decades of expertise in human development as a professional coach and mentor. My primary goal is to help customers get paradigm-shifting insights that result in concrete improvements in their career and personal lives. As an EQ specialist, I understand how our thoughts and emotions shape our behaviors – and what has to happen to shift that shaping for better outcomes.
My background includes management consulting with PWC, administration in banking and insurance firms, and assisting change management in large ERP installations across government and commercial sectors. I am an International Coach Federation (ICF) member, a qualified EQ Practitioner, and an APT Level 2 Accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist. I am now in the process of acquiring her ICF ACC accreditation and working toward her M.A. in Cognitive Science. I’m fluent in French and Italian and hold a B.A Hons. (With Distinction) from the University of Toronto.
I founded operation growth institute, a global transformational learning center to help individuals accept, heal, develop and be their best. Using my signature 12 steps to ‘realizing transformational growth’ I enable my clients to find their own solutions. I assist my clients in determining their next step after investigating how their emotional blockage is stopping them from living their best life.
I am an International Coaching Federation-certified coach, a Healers certified Holistic Health Counselor, and a certified Fatherless Daughters Advocate with 20 years of experience in mentoring and coaching leaders. I’m the founding coach of the MMS NorCal Coaching Collective. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University and have studied with the Aspen Institute, Kellogg Foundation, Zuckerberg Institute, Iyanla Vanzant and the God Squad, Queen Afua, Dr. Llaila Afrika, Dr. Cherie Carter-Scott (the mother of coaching), and Opher Brayer as a member of the Impro coaching team.
